Personal Bankers of Little Rock: Amy Green

“Years ago, I thought about moving to another of our branches but Pete Maris told me that my customers wouldn’t allow it!”

That’s one of Amy Green’s fond recollections about being a member of the Bank of Little Rock family. Of her 28 ½ years in banking, the last 20 have been at our Heights branch, which you can find at the corner of Kavanaugh Boulevard and Newton Street.

Amy’s career started after she attended East Arkansas Community College in her home town of Forrest City. Although her first job was in the fast food industry, she moved to Little Rock to attend UALR and landed her first banking jobs, working at First Federal’s Geyer Springs and downtown branches. A year later, she moved to Metropolitan National Bank where she stayed for 7 ½ years, moving up the ladder from Teller, to Head Teller, to being named Customer Service Representative. According to Amy, “During my years at Metropolitan, I probably trained about 40 Tellers, which I really enjoyed.”

Today, Amy is Assistant Vice President and Manager of our Heights branch, where her team includes Jackie Blundell and Karen Cummings who together represent many years of serving Bank of Little Rock customers.

In addition to keeping the Heights branch running smoothly, Amy’s responsibilities include opening checking, savings, IRA, and CD accounts as well as taking applications for home equity, consumer, and business loans.

Outside of her banking life, Amy married the most handsome man and best plumber in town, Anthony Green, in March 2017. Her 21-year-old daughter, Lexy, attends Baptist Nursing School and has given her the most precious grandbaby Aubrey Lynn who is now 1,  and her 18-year-old son, Jassim, has graduated Bryant. According to Amy, “Her granddaughter now keeps her very busy.

About Bank of Little Rock, Amy says, “Pete and George (Worthen) created within Bank of Little Rock a wonderful professional family and I can’t just imagine working anywhere else.” That’s a great testimony about the culture of the Bank and its mission to take care of their customers like family.

The next time you drive down Kavanaugh, be sure to stop in and feel the love!
