Personal Bankers of Little Rock: Samantha Blaylock

Samantha Blaylock claims that she and her colleagues at Bank of Little Rock wear many hats.  “It keeps us very busy but I love the different ways I get to help our customers.”

While attending high school in Bryant, Samantha got her first taste of working -- which she really loved.  She worked for Truman Ball & Associates Realtors and those years of working for Truman Ball remain precious to her.  “He was such a sweet man and ran such a great company -- my experience there taught me a lot about the value of taking care of customers.”

In 2003, after earning a B.A. Degree in Marketing from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Samantha quickly discovered her long-term career -- banking.  She had the opportunity to join Bank of Little Rock as a teller in the Heights branch and then, after about a year there, she transferred to the Main branch downtown to take on more responsibilities.

Also in 2004, Samantha helped roll out Bank of Little Rock’s online banking product which, along with the Bank’s more recent mobile banking application, have brought a world of convenience to customers.

Samantha became the downtown branch manager in 2008 and was promoted to Assistant Vice President in 2013.   Plus, she has been leading the Bank’s marketing efforts for the past decade and she still finds time to mentor and assist tellers in all branches.

Samantha and 12-year-old daughter Shelby enjoy outdoor activities -- including deer hunting and camping.  However, since Shelby has gotten serious about fast-pitch softball, she will be spending more and more time supporting her, including attending all of her games.

Obviously, boredom isn’t a problem for Samantha.  Yet in the midst of it all, she finds time to continuously reinvent herself (including a serious commitment this past year to a healthier lifestyle) while she remains fully-committed to taking the best care possible of her customers – even if it’s on the weekend!  So if you haven’t met her yet, stop by Cantrell and State Street one of these days and say “howdy.”  She’ll love seeing you.
