Personal Bankers of Little Rock: Terry Prickett
April 27, 2018
You may not see Terry Prickett in the lobby when you visit out downtown branch, but she’s there every day helping to manage our Bank’s technological infrastructure!
Terry was born in Fort Carson, Colorado – her dad was a military man – and like so many military families, they lived in several places. Most of her formative years were spent in Lawton, Oklahoma where she graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1994. Terry’s banking career began in 1996 when she took a job at the Fort Sill Federal Credit Union and, from that first job, banking is the only career that Terry has ever known.
She became an Arkansan when her stepfather retired from the Army in 1999 and moved to be closer to his family in Alexander. Terry attended UALR while still working full-time in banking, first for Superior Federal and then for Arvest Bank. There she gained experience as an assistant branch manager and then as manager of their Baseline branch. In 2005, Terry moved to the Telcoe Credit Union but after a year there, she had the opportunity to join the Bank of Little Rock team.
When Terry joined Bank of Little Rock in 2006, she became Assistant Manager of the Heights branch before becoming manager of the Highway 10 branch. More recently, in 2017, Terry was named Assistant Vice President.
Today, Terry works at our Downtown branch where she specializes in IT support, serving as the Core Administrator of the Bank’s IT infrastructure. Her responsibilities include corresponding with the Bank’s technology provider, managing the NSF report (which monitors overdrawn accounts), verifying wire transfers, and maintaining customer information files. If that wasn’t enough, Terry also oversees training programs within the Bank.
Given all of her responsibilities, Terry’s biggest challenge is time management and making sure everything gets done. But her greatest reward is the Bank’s culture of taking great care of all of its employees. She says, “It’s been very gratifying to work for a business that’s sensitive to a working, single mom’s needs and Bank of Little Rock has just been the best!”
Although she loves her job, what’s most important in Terry’s life are her 11-year-old son, Dylan, and her 8-year-old daughter, Cameron. Terry’s boyfriend also has two children and the four of them love going to Hot Springs’ lakes and taking other fun trips together. Aside from that, Terry is a self-diagnosed “shoe junkie” – she confesses that shopping is pretty high on her list!
Although you usually won’t find her in our lobby, we hope you get to meet Terry soon. She practices Personal Banking behind the scenes in ways that make our service to you all the better.
